Green for Oil Gloss varnish is a final varnish used to protect your finished painting. A gloss varnish will further enhance the brightest and most vibrant colors in your painting. Mix with matt varnish for a satin finish.

This is the gel version of Flow ’N Dry alkyd medium.

Use it to speed drying and improve fluidity and gloss by adding 15–20% to paint. Suitable for impasto techniques, it comes in a 40 ml (1.4 oz) tube that travels well into the field for plein air painting.

Veronese medium is useful for melding adjacent brush strokes. Beeswax based, it provides a uniform matte finish, covers quickly, and makes pastes richer.

Thin Sennelier's Veronese Paste with very diluted medium (4 parts Veronese Paste to 1 part turpentine or mineral/white spirits).

Universal White Gesso provides a matte surface and exceptional tooth for maximum paint adhesion. It's perfect for painting with both acrylics and oils, on surfaces such as canvas, wood, paper, and board. Use it full strength, or dilute it with water up to 20% to achieve the desired consistency. It may also be tinted by pre-mixing it with Sennelier acrylic colors. As a preparation for acrylic paints, one layer of gesso is sufficient. For oil-based paints, two layers are recommended.

/Yellow/Red/Light Grey/Black Gesso — Similar to White Gesso, Sennelier Colored Gesso provides exceptional coverage and a matte surface for maximum paint adhesion. An excellent surface for acrylic and oil-based paints, Sennelier Colored Gesso allows paintings to be started on an opaque, colored surface.

This thinner is used like petroleum spirit, but is strongly appreciated by users put off by the smell of solvent.

A new generation of solvent derived from oil for oil paints. This solvent evaporates slowly and does not deteriorate during its change while leaving no trace when dry. With a very low odor, it is perfectly suited to artists who are sensitive to the smell of solvents.

A very volatile thinner which does not leave a thick film. It has less odor than Rectified Turpentine spirits.

Mineral spirits have an advantage over vegetable-based spirits that it keeps better on contact with air. It is a thinner solvent than vegetable-based spirits and evaporates more slowly than Rectified Turpentine spirits. It is used to spread out
oil-based colors or certain varnishes. Because of its high penetrative power, petroleum spirit gets deep into the paint. An excess accentuates the matte finish.
It is also used to clean brushes covered in fresh color and it does not dry out and does not stick like Rectified Turpentine spirits.

This medium has the same properties as the Turner paint medium, but it is produced using a synthetic base.

Clear, gloss ketone resin based liquid medium, gives a highbuild finish and allows glazing and « àlla prima » paint by accelerating drying. Universal medium improves the tones by adding bright and glossy appearance. Reinforces the mechanical properties of the finish and can be mixed with colors in any proportion. It can be diluted in petroleum spirit, turpentine and odor free spirits.

Makes smooth glossy brushmarks when added to oil paint, and creates glazed layers which look as if a varnish has been applied. Slow drying

Allows you to significantly smooth thin brush strokes.

Linseed oil polymerised in the absence of air. Full bodied, very bright, clear, honey-like viscosity medium made by heating pure linseed.

Improves transparency, fluidity and smoothes brushstrokes. Can be used straight but, due to high viscosity, it is preferable to thin with spirits.

Excellent medium for glazing and detail work. Reduces possible appearance of cracking. Slows drying. Slightly yellowing. Favors gloss.

Sennelier clarified poppy seed oil is clearer and less yellowing than linseed oil, though also less effective as a dryer. It is recommended for light colours and blue tones.

Refined Safflower Oil is the oil used to produce colors with Sennelier extra-fine oil.
It yellows less than linseed oil.

Clarified vegetable oil, a good drier with low acidity is characterised by resistance to yellowing and has an excellent compatibility with pigments. Because of its pale color, it is recommended to grind with white and clear tones. Mixed with oil colors to accentuate their fluidity, transparency and gloss without altering the hue's brilliance during drying. It dries more slowly than linseed oil, but may be safely mixed with it. Add 25% maximum to total paint mixture.

Sennelier clarified linseed oil, purified, transparent, slightly yellowing, with a natural amber tint, and used to give body to pigment pastes.

This is a very attractive varnish with an unbeatable gloss appearance, and it is also one of the most expensive. Used a great deal by past generations of painters.

33% Mastic gum (from Chios) final painting varnish. Resistant film, high gloss and high build, with a tendency to discolor slightly over time. Easily reversible. Only apply on completely dry paint. Thinner: Rectified Turpentine spirit.

Sennelier's Flow Dry / Alkyd Medium - oil based resin medium accelerates drying time and provides a creamy texture to oil paint, improving fluidity and increasing gloss. It resists yellowing. Ideally suited for glazes.

Modeling Paste allows the creation of coatings and relief. It holds tool marks and keeps the imprint of the relief created perfectly, while offering great suppleness to the film. It can be applied as it is or tinted by pre-mixing with Sennelier Acrylique colors to achieve desired colour. When mixed, the original tone of the Sennelier Acrylique color will be slightly lighter. When drying, it produces a very fine, granular, off-white surface, which can be painted, sanded, or sculpted. It is watersoluble, dries rapidly, and is water-resistant when dry.

Light Modeling Paste is a white paste with a light, supple, airy consistency allowing the creation of coatings and relief. It holds tool marks and keeps perfectly the imprint of the relief created, while offering great suppleness to the film. It can be applied as it is or tinted by pre-mixing it with Sennelier Acrylique Paints, with very little shade alteration. When dry, it can be painted, sanded, or sculpted. It is watersoluble, dries rapidly, and is water-resistant when dry.

It improves the transparency, depth, and brightness of the colour. It can be added in any proportion to the paint. It can be mixed with thick matte gel medium to obtain satin effects. Water soluble. Transparent and water resistant when dry, it will not crack.

Sennelier Thick Gloss Gel Medium is thicker than Sennelier Extra-Fine Acrylique Paint and adds to the consistency of the acrylic paint. It retains tool marks and relief imprints, and improves the transparency, depth, and brightness of colors. Add it in any proportion to the paint, or mix it with Thick Matte Gel Medium to create a satin effect. It is watersoluble, and dries rapidly to a transparent, water-resistant, non-cracking finish.

Thicker than Sennelier extra-fine acrylic, it adds to the consistency of the paint. It retains the mark of the tool and keeps perfectly the imprint of the relief created. It improves the transparency, depth, and matte quality of the colour. It can be added in any proportion to the paint. It can be mixed with thick gloss gel medium to obtain satin effects. Water soluble. Translucent and water resistant when dry, it will not crack.

Matt Thick Gel Medium is thicker than Sennelier Extra-Fine Acrylique Paint and adds to the consistency of the paint. It retains tool marks and relief imprints, and improves the transparency, depth, and matte quality of colors. Add it in any proportion to the paint, or mix it with Thick Gloss Gel Medium to create a satin effect. It is watersoluble and dries to a translucent finish.

Add Matt Fluid Medium to Sennelier Extra-Fine Acrylique Paint to improve its fluidity, transparency, and matte quality. Add it in any proportion, or mix it with Gloss Fluid Medium to achieve a satin effect.

Matt Fluid Medium is watersoluble, and dries rapidly to a translucent, water-resistant finish.

Bright fluid medium is indispensable for optimizing the qualities of Sennelier Extra-Fine Acrylique Paints. These acrylique fluid mediums create a wide variety of effects and have an adhesive property that adapts well to collage and inlay work.

Add Gloss Fluid Glazing Medium to Sennelier Extra-Fine Acrylique Paint to improve fluidity, luminosity, and depth of the colors, and to create gloss glazes.
